"I am not a thing — a noun. I seem to be a verb, an evolutionary process — an integral function of the universe." -Buckminster Fuller
Wave-particle theory teaches us that the very act of measuring a particle can dictate how it behaves. If you measure the particle as matter, it will display a certain physical mass, and act accordingly. However, if you measure the particle as energy, it displays a frequency and acts as a wave of potential.
As the sum of all my parts, I humbly ask: Am I a person, or a process?
While my tactile, 3-dimensional experience has taught me that I am a solid, 95lb mass of cells held together by a web of energy, psychedelic experience has shown me how deceiving the 3rd dimension can really be. From higher planes of existence, it's clear to see that the hunks of meat that we call "bodies" are comprised of millions of individual parts with infinite space between them; we are just fragments of light projected onto dancing particles of cosmic dust.
And with this image in my mind, I have increasingly begun to see myself less as a person and more as a process: an evolutionary sequence that continues on into perpetuity.
And as a member of a generation plagued by FOMO, what a wonderful realization to know that while I have chosen to measure myself from this material vantage point, I am experiencing infinite possibilities elsewhere within our vast mutli-verse.
"in the end, she became
more than what she expected.
she became the journey,
and like all journeys,
she did not end, she just
simply changed directions
and kept going."
